Heather graduated in December 2023 with her second master’s degree from Arizona State University. Her degree is in International Affairs & Leadership. Her capstone project examined U.S. Strategic Competitors influence in South Sudan. Some of the courses she took included: Africa, Genocide, National Security, Independent Research, Key Issues in the Global Economy, the Dark Side of Foreign Policy, and others.

Heather graduated from Arizona State University in 2003 with a master’s in criminology. Her capstone project examined the efficacy of treatment options for juvenile offenders sentenced to adult correctional facilities. Her coursework included theories of crime and deviance, social control, punishment, research methods and program evaluation and statistics.
Today, Arizona State University’s School of Criminology and Criminal Justice is a nationally recognized leader in higher education and highly regarded for its distinguished faculty and research productivity.

Heather graduated from Indiana University in 2001 with a bachelor’s in criminology. Indiana University is a major multicampus public research institution, grounded in the liberal arts and sciences.
As an undergraduate, she took a wide-range of courses beyond the study of criminology including public affairs, macroeconomics, microeconomics, German, French and statistics.
